It’s a Sesquicentennial Celebration and you’re invited!

2021 is a big year for Pascoag Public Library and we’re going to make the most of it!  We will be spending this whole year celebrating as best we can within the limits of the protocols required by COVID 19.

What is a Sesquicentennial?  (Remember, we’re a library!  We’re going to share knowledge!)  Sesqui is a prefix meaning 1½ and centennial means 100. 1½ centennials equals 150.  We are 150 years old this year!

We will have a series of posters (12 in all), telling our story on display in the library.  Stop in and see a new one each month.  In the summer, fall and winter we have planned several events open to our community.  Our Summer Birthday Party in June was aimed at our youth patrons (yes, there was cake!) and was a wonderful celebration with lots of handouts.  Our Adult Evening Reception/Soiree was celebrated on Friday October 22 @ 6:30 pm with about 50 people; once again we enjoyed food, punch, and a wonderful cake!  A Family Tree Trimming gathering is planned for December.  Our pre-COVID regular events will also take place with a bit of extra sparkle.
